The Mechatronics and Energy Systems Group (MERGE) is involved in
several research and development projects with leading industrial
partners hence, we are looking for a research assistant/engineer to
support the team in design and development activities. This will be a
hands-on role and you will be actively involved with a multidisciplinary
team.
Conduct supervised experimental work and report results.
Design and maintain experiential test setups.
Liaise with other groups and departments to source required materials and equipment.
Support electrical design activities including schematic capture,
Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design, embedded software development and
prototype verification.
Write technical reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics Computer
Science or any relevant field. Equivalent work experience will also be
considered.
Familiarity with basic lab equipment.
Prototyping skills.
Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) repair and modification.
Experience and knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design and embedded software is desirable.
