Research Interests
As exploration geologist, I am curious about the subsurface structure. Thus, applied geophysical research is my study topic and academic focus. In the past, I did some research in subsurface interpretation applied to hydrocarbon, geothermal, and groundwater exploration using various geophysical data, e.g. seismic data, gravity measurements, well logs , and geoelectric data. Building on my previous experience, in my Ph.D. I investigate the potential of low-medium enthalpy geothermal resources in Saudi Arabia. I build a subsurface temperature model to then simulate geothermal reservoir production and injection to quantify the geothermal potential for direct utilization (water desalination, district heating and cooling).
