This highlight is a significant achievement for the researchers and demonstrates the importance of their work in contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, especially goal number 7, which focuses on affordable and clean energy to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

The report also provides insights into the various research projects that KAUST has undertaken to support sustainable development.
