Abdullah Al Omier wins second place at KROW 2023 e-poster session

The second edition of the KAUST Research Open Week was held from 26 February to 2 March 2023.

During the event, KAUST scientists presented scientific e-posters at three sessions in the university library that were open to the entire community.

The e-poster sessions were divided into three thematic areas:

  1. Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs
  2. Economies of the Future
  3. Energy and Industrial Leadership & Health and Wellness 

 

Dr. Zeeshan Tariq, a Postdoctoral Fellow from DGYM group led by Professor Bicheng Yan, Dr. Ksenia Kaprielova, a Postdoctoral Fellow from EGG group led by Center Director Professor Tadeusz Patzek, and Abdullah Al Omier, Ph.D. Student from ARMS group led by Professor Hussein Hoteit represented ANPERC with leading research and engaging e-Posters.

Ph.D. student Abdullah Al Omier received a second-place prize in the Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs category for his e-Poster titled "Novel Mixed Wettability Coating of Microfluidics: Applications to Hydrocarbon Recovery and CO2 Storage."
