On Thursday (May 12^th) Emeritus Professor Mark Zoback from Stanford University visited KAUST to interact with ANPERC’s students, postdocs, research scientists and faculty. 

As part of his visit, he delivered a seminar entitled  “In situ Stress and Hydraulic Fracturing”, which covered basics on geomechanics, presented new data from a number of US unconventional source rock developments, and a fresh perspective on hydraulic fracturing.
