Wardana Saputra successfully presented his Ph.D. defense

04 November, 2021

On November 4th, Wardana Saputra, Ph.D. Candidate Supervised by Director and Prof. Tadeusz Patzek successfully presented his defense entitled: Physics-Guided Data-Driven Production Forecasting in Shales.

See some photos of the presentation and Wardana's thoughts on his experience:

"I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to all faculty, staff, researchers, and students of ANPERC that contributed to the success of my PhD. I came to KAUST in 2016 as an MS student; in fact, I was the first student of Prof. Tad Patzek, our center director. At that time, the name "ANPERC" did not even exist, it was still named "UPERC" (the Upstream Petroleum Research Center) at KAUST. Our center was much smaller than today, with only two faculties, plus some founding students, researchers, and staff. I am so thrilled to realize that our center has grown today with roughly a hundred smart-talented people from many parts of the world.

Also, I would like to express my special thanks to Prof. Tad Patzek, who has been an educator, a hero, and a father figure for me during my PhD life at KAUST. More special thanks go to other ANPERC members: Prof. Thomas Finkbeiner, Research Engineer Wissem Kirati, Research Scientist Nabila Bounceur, Executive Secretary Karen Barter, and Technical Writing Assistant Juliet Aber; each of them has helped me in every different unique way. Once again, thank you so much ANPERC!" - Wardana Saputra

Congratulations Wardana, we are very proud of you!
