On Wednesday (June 9th), a delegation from Saudi Aramco’s Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC) visited ANPERC labs to get an overview of ANPERC’s advanced experimental capabilities, witness some of the ongoing experiments, and see the state of the art equipment. The delegation met our brilliant students, postdocs, and scientists who are conducting the experiments.
The Saudi Aramco delegation was headed by Dr. Ashraf Tahini (EXPEC ARC manager) and accompanied by five of his chief technologists – namely Dr. Maher Marhoon (Geology), Dr. Saad Mutairi, (Production Technology), Dr. Timothy E Moellendick (Drilling), Dr. Ali Yousef (Reservoir Engineering), and Dr. Saleh Ammari (Advanced Technology) – as well as Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Gamid who will be leading the EXPEC ARC team at the Saudi Research center here at KAUST.
The ANPERC team guiding the visitors through the laboratory facilities included Profs. Volker Vahrenkamp, Hussein Hoteit, Shehab Ahmed, Frans van Buchem, Thomas Finkbeiner, and were led by Center Director Prof. Tad Patzek.
