On March 25^th,  their Royal Highnesses Princesses Noura Al Saud and Mashael Al Shalan called on ANPERC as part of a two-day visit to KAUST. Princess Noura is a member of the KAUST Circular Carbon Initiative (CCI) Advisory Board. Together with Princess Mashael, they founded Aeon Strategy and Aeon Collective and are very active defenders of sustainability in the Kingdom.

Professor Hussein Hoteit and Research Professor Thomas Finkbeiner introduced them to and gave an overview of the ongoing geoscience projects that form the “geo-thrust” in KAUST’s CCI. The presentation was followed by a visit to two of ANPERC’s lab facilities where PhD students Jamal Al-Aamri, Marcelo Benitez, and Research Scientist Dr. Qi Lui demonstrated some of the related experimental research.

Their Royal Highnesses engaged in a proactive and lively conversation with the ANPERC team. They expressed great interest in further supporting the team's research, making it a very rewarding visit for all participants.
