ANPERC's J. Carlos Santamarina will be the faculty speaker at the 9th academic convocation on Tuesday, September 4, at 3pm, welcoming a new group of MS and PhD students to KAUST. Dr. Santamarina has been a professor of engineering for over 30 years, with over 12,000 total citations. He became a founding member of the Ali I. From Dr. Santamarina's Energy GeoEngineering Laboratory (EGEL) website: "The conditions at KAUST are exceptional. Our secure campus is a 'live and work' community in a beautiful setting on the Red Sea and is home to over 5000 professionals, students, academics and their families." The event begins at 3 pm in the auditorium, building 20, and will also feature student speaker Kenneth Langley, a PhD student in mechanical engineering.
