ANPERC's Ahmed Saad was selected to participate in the SEG/Chevron Student Leadership Symposium (SLS).  Ahmed Saad is a PhD student in the Patzek group and his research focuses on the investigation of pore scale fluid displacement mechanisms using micro-models mimicking subsurface reservoir pore systems. Participants for the Chevron SLS undergo a rigorous selection process as only 50 students from all over the world get accepted and selected students receive full travel grants to join the program. This is a focused program for developing leadership skills and Chevron provides course materials, team exercises, and instructors to encourage the students to discover their full potential. The Student Leadership Symposium included an address by the SEG President, best practices presentations from selected Student Chapters, professional leadership coaching, an organized team building activity, and Strategic Problem Solving Sessions. The event took place during the 2017 SEG Annual Meeting from the 24th to the 29th of September in Houston, Texas. Congratulations Ahmed for your fantastic achievement!
