Ali I. Al-Naimi Petroleum Engineering Research Center (ANPERC) is proud to share that the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) was recognized as the #1 university in the world in terms of citations per faculty (2016/2017 QS World University Rankings). Other peer institutions in the top 10 include Princeton, UC Santa Barbara, and MIT.

Furthermore, on July of this year, KAUST appeared as the 19th university in the world with the fastest growth due to research contributions to 68 high-quality science journals compiled by Nature Research. The complete list of fast-rising universities can be found at Nature Index of Rising Stars.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is a private university located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research such as Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering; Physical Science and Engineering; and Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science, and Engineering.

It is becoming more common that KAUST, after just eight years of research and conception, delivers excellent quality and volume as other leading universities in the world, at a fast pace. This is clearly the result of the extraordinary faculty, students and staff whose contributions are recognized and pursue solutions to significant issues with passion and purpose.
