ANPERC is excited to share the details for the upcoming SPE ATCE 2016!
Considered the foremost technical conference in oil and gas exploration and production, the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE 2016) takes place September 26-28 in Dubai.
The annual event will be held in the Middle East for the first time in its 92-year history, representing a unique opportunity for ANPERC to share its growing research activities at one of the largest gatherings of oil and gas research leaders and decision makers. The event has become one of the most important opportunities for leading petroleum engineering and geoscience academic programs from around the world to present new research findings and engage with industry researchers.
We encourage our friends and colleagues attending ATCE 2016 to visit the KAUST ANPERC booth, located in Hall 8, #5267. ATCE 2016 is located at the Dubai World Trade Center, in the heart of Dubai. ANPERC wishes to acknowledge the generous support of the KAUST Industry Engagement Office in hosting the booth.
We also hope you will help us cheer on Wardan Saptura, a PhD student in Earth Science and Engineering program, as he competes in the SPE International Student Paper Contest.
Saputra, who won 1st place in the PhD vision for the SPE Middle East Student Paper Contest in May, will compete on Tuesday, September 27. He will present his paper, A Cost Effective Method to Maximize the Hydrocarbon Recovery by Optimizing the Vertical Well Placements through the Simulation Opportunity Index, in competition against the 1st place winners from SPE's other regional paper contests. Co-authors with Saputra are ANPERC Center Director and Professor Tad Patzek, and Professor Tutuka Ariadji of ITB.
We encourage all of our colleagues, friends, and stakeholders making plans for ATCE 2016 to visit the KAUST ANPERC booth, and watch for updates on paper presentations by ANPERC members.
