Dr Dina Gafurova is currently a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research ( at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals ( She earned her Ph D in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2018 complemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Geology from the same esteemed institution in Moscow, Russia Before joining KFUPM in 2023 Dr Gafurova made significant contributions as a Researcher at Lomonosov Moscow State University There she led scientific projects sponsored by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, focusing on the formation of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs resulting from thermal treatment Her expertise and leadership were pivotal in advancing the understanding of these complex geological processes In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr Gafurova played a crucial role in research and development projects at the non state development institute Innopraktika Serving as the Team Lead of the Geological group, she actively contributed to digital software development for leading Russian oil and gas company
