A comprehensive overview will be provided of the characteristic stratigraphic patterns of the Lower and Middle Cretaceous of the Arabian Plate, based on the integration of 3D seismic, well logs and outcrops. Typical features such as the lower Cretaceous platform progradation (Habshan and Lekhwair) and the middle Cretaceous creation of intrashelf basins (Shuaiba and Natih Fm's) will be shown, and fundamental concepts of carbonate deposition will be explained.
