2018 Fall Career Fair

2018-CareerFair

Twice a year the Office of Professional Development hosts a career fair where KAUST students can meet with representatives of dozens of companies from around the world. This fall, on October 24 and 25, the career fair will bring 21 companies to the conference center, building 19, for company presentations, employer panels, and networking. For anyone thinking about future employment in the industry this amount of direct exposure is valuable. But all students can benefit from interacting directly with industry representatives. As the Office of Professional Development website states "The career fairs are great opportunities for students to connect with potential employers and discover internship and job opportunities, as well as learn about the skills employers are seeking in new employees." Whether you are curious about what it's like to compete in a global labor market, or eager to hone your interview skills, everyone has something to learn from the fair. Check out the official page here.

In the two weeks leading up to the career fair, almost two dozen different workshops will be offered on everything from the technical details of writing a better CV to the stories of PSE professors as they recount their career journey. ANPERC PhD student Saleh Hassan is organizing student ambassadors. Anyone interested in making an impact at the career fair and helping to represent KAUST to the world can volunteer. Student ambassadors will assist employers during their stay at KAUST, taking the lead in showing them what KAUST graduates have to offer. To volunteer to be a student ambassador, email Saleh Hassan or fill in this form.
