King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Saudi Aramco organized a gathering of thought leaders in upstream petroleum research on November 13-14, 2014. This joint effort highlighted the state-of-the-art and recent developments in understanding fluid flow and recovery in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon systems, and identifed unique challenges and opportunities for fundamental and solution-driven collaborative research.
