Professor Ruben Juanes

Biography

Ruben Juanes is Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at MIT, and Director of the Henry L. Pierce Laboratory for Infrastructure Science and Engineering at MIT. He is also co-founder of Seismix Reservoir Management, a company that specializes in management of induced seismicity. He is an expert in multiphase flow through porous media, geomechanics, and induced seismicity. He is the author of over 150 peer-reviewed journal publications and over 60 conference papers (including over 15 papers in the area of computational geomechanics, and 40 papers in the areas of geological carbon storage and EOR).
