Biography

​Dr. Gasem Fallatah is an advisor for HRH, the Saudi Minister of Energy. Since joining the Ministry team, Dr. Fallatah worked on establishing the Hydrocarbon Sustainability Program, which aims at sustaining hydrocarbons demands through focusing on the environmental and economic aspects. Dr. Fallatah is currently leading the coordination team working on establishing the Circular Carbon Economy National Program through Saudi Arabia, which aims to demonstrate its global leadership in tackling the emission challenges. Dr. Fallatah also leads the activities of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance in the West Asia and Africa region. Prior to joining the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Fallatah was the assistant deputy minister for Sectorial and Regional Development in the Ministry of Economy and Planning, before which he spent over 20 years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals industries. Dr. Fallatah holds PhD degree from Newcastle University in Composite Materials engineering.
