Inga Berre is Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bergen. She obtained her PhD degree in applied mathematics in 2005 at the same university. Her research interests are within mathematical modeling, partial differential equations and numerical methods. Within these topics, she has led a number of collaborative research projects and graduated many PhD and master students. Her more recent research project projects are related to simulation of coupled thermal, hydraulic, mechanical and chemical processes in fractured geothermal systems. Prof. Berre is co-chair of EU's SET-Plan Implementation Working Group Deep Geothermal and she is the coordinator of the Joint Programme Geothermal in the European Energy Research Alliance.
