Essam Aboud is currently an Associate Professor at Geohazards Research Centre; King Abdulaziz University, obtained his PhD from Kyushu University Japan in 2005, M.Sc. in applied geophysics from Cairo University, 2000, Graduated from Geophysics department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, 1992.

Dr. Aboud is interested 3D inversion (joint) of potential field data (e.g. gravity and magnetic) as well as Magnetotelluric data in order to evaluate the geohazards, geothermal exploration, and recently in mineral exploration.
