Rainer Schmidt is Geologist at Saudi Aramco. His main responsibility is basin modeling within the Exploration Resource Assessment Department. Further, he supports Area Exploration in assessing Paleozoic and Mesozoic Petroleum Systems in Eastern Arabia. Before joining Saudi Aramco in 2013 he has been working as a Senior Petroleum Systems Analyst at Schlumberger. He has a Master’s degree in Geology and more than 15 years of professional experience in Petroleum Geology, Engineering Geology and Geographical Information Systems.
